Est. 2017
The Austin17House was established in 2017, after the tragic loss of a 17-year-old boy named Austin.
Austin grew up in Fremont, NH., with his Father and Mother, Mark & Christine Anderson, and brother Matthew. He attended the Ellis School in Fremont, Sanborn High School in Kingston, and was currently in his senior year at Great Bay Charter School in Exeter.
In his younger years, Austin enjoyed building things with legos, playing computer games or video games and playing football for the Nor-Rock Vikings. Austin was a very social and loving person. He had the kindest heart and was always willing to help anyone.
On December 3, 2016, Austin passed away in a drug-related car accident in Seabrook, NH, along with another local community member named Taylor. The impact of two losses devastated the community but brought many together in hopes of making a difference.
During Austin's wake, Austin's father, Mark, was moved by the amount of youth that came out to pay their respects. "They said they loved Austin and were friends with Austin. The group that got me the most was the ones who said Austin helped them out. I decided my son’s friends needed help, and I was the one that needed to give it to them."
Mark, Austin's father, always dreamed of opening a community center, and after the loss of his son, it quickly became his reality.

Austin Inspires Change
"Over 200 kids arrived at Austin's wake, and they stood out in the cold, lining up trying to come into the funeral home," Anderson said. "They said they loved Austin; they were friends with Austin. The group that got me the most was the ones who said Austin helped them out. I decided my son’s friends needed help, and I was the one that needed to give it to them."
